American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg position in Edmond, OK, requiring at least 1 year of experience and current AHA certifications.

Hospital Med/Surg unit (3rd/4th floor setting)

Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)

13-week contract

Active OK or Compact (eNLC) RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Minimum 1 year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred

Proficiency in professional nursing theory, practices, and techniques

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Basic computer skills required

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Responsibilities include managing an assigned patient group, documenting responses to nursing interventions, administering medications, and monitoring IV infusions and blood products

Collaborates with physicians during examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Engages patients and families in care planning throughout the hospital stay and at discharge

Delegates tasks to support staff as appropriate

Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior travelers may only extend once, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
