CNC Programmer – Swiss Machining
Location: Coon Rapids, MN
Pay: $36–$46 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 10-hour shifts; Friday, 5.5 hours
Overtime: Approximately 5+ hours per week, paid after 40 hours

We are urgently hiring three experienced CNC Programmers for an onsite opportunity in Coon Rapids, MN. This role requires strong Swiss machining experience and the ability to independently program, set up, prove out, and qualify machined components.
Candidates must be eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated environment. No visa sponsorship is available.
Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering prints and 3D models.
- Create CNC programs and set up Swiss machining centers.
- Select cutting tools to achieve reliable, cost-effective tool life.
- Develop capable, sustainable, and efficient machining processes.
- Write G-code programs, work instructions, and operating procedures.
- Set up machines, prove out programs, and perform first-piece qualification testing.
- Create process tooling and assist with tooling design.
- Perform quality assurance testing to verify specification compliance.
- Support cycle-time reduction, tooling-cost reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply Lean manufacturing principles when resolving production issues.
- Create and coordinate engineering tests.
- Maintain machining and secondary-operation processes.
- Process controlled changes to BOMs and BOOs within the ERP system.
- Assist with tooling estimates, costing, and quoting.
- Communicate technical requirements across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of Swiss machining experience.
- Demonstrated ability to program and set up Swiss machines.
- Strong working knowledge of G-code.
- Ability to independently:
- Review prints and models.
- Select cutting tools.
- Write CNC programs.
- Create process tooling.
- Set up and prove out machines.
- Run first-piece qualification testing.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and quality requirements.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, including THC.
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency due to ITAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working under ISO 13485 quality standards.
- Medical-device manufacturing experience.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with ERP systems, BOMs, BOOs, and formal change-control processes.
Schedule
The standard schedule is Monday through Thursday for 10 hours per day, plus approximately 5.5 hours on Friday. Start times are generally between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. and may be selected by the employee as long as the schedule remains consistent. A second-shift option may also be available.
