The Site Coordinator (SC) serves as both a classroom manager and lead teacher, formulating, communicating and evaluating clear learning goals for students and pairing them with our volunteer tutors. The SC oversees and manages the morning class which includes student instruction, student and tutor supervision, and detailed student progress/achievement record keeping.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
● Knowledge of adult education and family literacy.
● Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Google Suite.

Organization Overview
Since 1997, Seeds of Literacy (Seeds) has provided personalized education that empowers adults to thrive in our community. Our innovative, non-traditional classroom relies on individualized curricula, one-to-one tutoring, and flexible scheduling to help students who did not succeed in traditional school settings. We offer one-to-one tutoring in basic education and GED preparation to more than 1,500 adult students every year. Our instruction model includes over 500 highly-trained volunteer tutors who work one-to-one with students in our physical classroom and online in our Virtual Classroom.
Hours:
Monday through Thursday 8:30 am-12:30pm, flexible hours on some Fridays and Saturdays.
