Minuteman High School is seeking a qualified FIRST Robotics Advisor for the 20262027 school year. This is a grant funded stipend position, contingent on the availability and funding of Perkins, with responsibilities and compensation detailed below.
Major Responsibilities:-
Recruit members from various STEM programs at Minuteman to participate in FIRST Robotics.

Present the value of Minutemans STEM programs (including FIRST Robotics) at District outreach events.

Become a member and participate with FIRST Robotics Competition.

Network with other FIRST Robotics teams.

Meet with Minutemans business partners in the STEM field and recruit mentors for the students participating in the club.

Provide appropriate safety training and supervision to any students working in a Lab environment and at competitions.

Oversee the students build space and supply areas to keep them neat and orderly.

Participate in and schedule all aspects of field trips to New England district First Robotics Competitions and attend local, state or national/world competitions outside of the regular school day.

Create and execute fundraising for program use.

Manage any fundraising opportunities, grants or budgets and set up appropriate accounts in accordance with the business office and following any state protocol.

Complete an approved Program of Work.

Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:-
Excellent communication skills.

Prior experience with establishing STEM and robotics teams to compete at the high school level.

Ability to quickly establish rapport with students, parents, and staff.
Additional Requirements:-
This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public, walking around the school, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.

Effective Dates of Employment:-
This is a grant-funded stipend position for the 2026-2027 school year. It is contingent on the availability of Perkins funding.
