We are a growing woman owned construction company serving the Los Angeles area. We are looking for an experienced construction professional to join our team on a part time basis and help strengthen our quality assurance and quality control processes.
This could be an ideal opportunity for a retired or semi retired General Contractor, building inspector, construction superintendent, or highly experienced construction professional who wants to remain involved in the industry without working full time.
The right person will have a strong understanding of the construction process from start to finish and be comfortable working collaboratively with our field crews, subcontractors, project management team, and upper management.
Responsibilities include:
- Visiting active job sites to review workmanship and overall quality
- Identifying potential issues before they become larger problems
- Reviewing work for quality, completeness, and alignment with plans, specifications, manufacturer requirements, and industry standards
- Creating and helping manage quality control and inspection checklists
- Reviewing key stages of construction before work is covered or the next phase begins
- Helping prepare projects for city inspections and final walkthroughs
- Creating punch lists and helping ensure items are properly completed
- Providing practical guidance and constructive feedback to our crews and subcontractors
- Communicating concerns clearly to field leadership and upper management
- Helping develop stronger company wide quality assurance procedures as the company grows
- Supporting the team with construction knowledge, troubleshooting, and best practices
We are looking for someone who:
- Has extensive hands on construction experience and a strong understanding of multiple trades
- Understands the full building process from demolition and rough construction through finishes and final inspections
- Has experience as a General Contractor, building inspector, superintendent, construction manager, or similar senior level field professional
- Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in quality workmanship
- Can identify problems and provide practical solutions
- Is comfortable working with both field crews and upper management
- Is a strong communicator who can provide feedback in a respectful, productive, and collaborative way
- Understands that quality control is about helping the entire team succeed, not simply pointing out mistakes

This is a part time position with a flexible schedule based on active projects and company needs. The role will involve visiting multiple job sites throughout the Los Angeles area.
