Responsibilities
- Safely transport food from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as plating and garnishing when needed
- Clear and clean tables promptly, bussing dishes and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle heavy lifting safely when moving large trays or equipment, following proper lifting practices
- Support kitchen staff with basic food handling, storage, and cleaning duties to maintain food safety standards
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and guests to ensure smooth service flow
- Use POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS to process orders or assist in guest service when required
Experience
- Prior food service experience or restaurant background preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Familiarity with food safety protocols and handling procedures is advantageous
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including bussing, serving, and guest services, is beneficial
