American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer for a general abdomen/OB/small parts imaging position requiring 2+ years post-graduation experience and ARDMS certification.

Diagnostic imaging department performing general abdomen, OB, and small parts ultrasound exams

Patient population spans all ages, from newborn through geriatric

Varying shift schedule

26-week assignment length

May assist with receptionist/clerk duties or other department tasks as needed

Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience required

Current BLS certification required

Current ARDMS (Abdomen or OB/GYN) certification required, multiple specialties preferred

License required if applicable

Graduate of an accredited Sonography program or equivalent preferred; current ARDMS registration may be accepted in lieu of accredited graduation

GE ultrasound experience preferred

Trophon experience preferred

Must be able to work with patients of all ages

Perform imaging examinations ensuring quality and continuity of patient care

Shared housing units provided by the facility with private bedrooms and shared common spaces; separate male and female units; no pets allowed

Airfare reimbursed by the facility upon arrival; flight itinerary must be submitted in advance for coordination

New Employee Orientation occurs Tuesday and Wednesday only

Returning travelers are not picked up from the airport

Candidates must provide date of birth and Social Security number for onboarding

Immunization records required, including Hepatitis A/B, Varicella, MMR, and T-Dap/Polio

Additional required documentation includes photo ID, SSN card, professional license/certification, education transcripts, background check, drug screen, competency testing, and references
