Job Overview
The Back Door is seeking a friendly, professional, and hospitality-focused Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. As the face of our luxury cocktail lounge and speakeasy, you will greet guests, manage reservations, coordinate seating, and help create a welcoming and memorable experience from arrival to departure.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with warmth, professionalism, and confidence
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest seating
- Verify guest reservations and assist with the check-in process
- Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries
- Maintain an organized and efficient entrance area
- Communicate effectively with bartenders, servers, and management regarding guest needs
- Assist with special events and VIP guest experiences
- Enforce dress code and house policies respectfully and professionally
- Thank guests upon departure and invite them to return
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, hospitality, restaurant, or host experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
