Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Team Member / Food Prep & Barista to join our team at our Cold Spring location. This role is focused mainly on food preparation and kitchen support, while also requiring the ability to assist with drink preparation when needed.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with food, has strong attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced café kitchen environment. Since ROWSEELEE offers both food and beverages, this position requires flexibility and a willingness to support both kitchen and beverage preparation operations.
This position is for day shifts and requires availability to work both Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assemble food items such as sandwiches, pinsa, pastries, desserts, and other menu items.
- Follow established recipes, portion guidelines, and preparation procedures.
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation for all food items.
- Assist with basic kitchen prep, including ingredient preparation, restocking, labeling, and organizing supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep area, equipment, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards.
- Assist with preparing beverages when needed, including fruit teas, bubble teas, matcha drinks, cold brew teas, coffees, and other specialty drinks.
- Work efficiently during peak hours while maintaining quality and service standards.
- Support the team with general store operations when needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen, food prep, café, restaurant, bakery, or food & beverage experience is preferred.
- Barista or beverage preparation experience is a plus, but not required.
- Must be comfortable handling both food preparation and drink preparation.
- Must be available to work both Saturday and Sunday.
- Day shift availability is required.
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures carefully.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
