Part-Time Cook (30 Hours/Week)
Mostly daytime hours; some evenings may be required, every other weekend availability needed.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at High Point Residence in Jerseyville. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals for our residents while meeting their dietary requirements and preferences. You will work closely with the dietary team to plan menus, maintain kitchen operations, and ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience.
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in healthcare or senior living
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Prepare and cook meals for residents, ensuring quality, nutrition, and dietary compliance
Collaborate with the dietary team on menu planning and meal preparation schedules
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
Ensure proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Strong cooking skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
Ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Team player with excellent communication skills
Organized and dependable with a commitment to resident satisfaction
