In this position, you will work closely with healthcare providers to ensure residents receive their medications accurately and on time, supporting their overall health and well-being. Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, ensuring proper dosage and timing.
- Document all medication activities accurately, maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including medication logs, medical records, and incident reports, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with management, physicians, families, and other caregivers regarding residents’ medication needs and health changes.
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including mobility assistance, personal hygiene, and providing emotional support during care routines.
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with medication administration protocols and medical documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive medical records and patient information.
- Strong caregiving skills combined with a compassionate approach to senior care and disability support are vital for success in this role.
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
