Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including overseeing food preparation, service flow, and cleanliness standards
- Support staff training and development to ensure high levels of customer service and food quality
- Supervise front-of-house and kitchen teams, ensuring efficient shift management and team coordination
- Monitor inventory control processes, including stock levels, ordering, and food safety compliance
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and oversee cash handling procedures
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by controlling costs related to food production and labor while maximizing revenue opportunities
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new team members to build a strong restaurant workforce
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management with a focus on food service management and supervising teams
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient order processing and sales tracking
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns professionally and promptly
- Ability to manage shift schedules effectively while maintaining high operational standards
- Experience with inventory control, food safety protocols, and budgeting within the food industry
- Leadership qualities that inspire teamwork, staff training & development, and performance improvement
- Previous casual dining or quick service & fast food restaurant experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of catering, banquet operations, or hotel hospitality experience is a plus
