Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to share your love for dance and inspire students of all ages. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging dance lesson plans for students of various age groups and skill levels
- Teach dance techniques, choreography, and routines in various styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, etc.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated and supported
- Maintain a safe and organized dance studio space
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to plan performances, recitals, and other events
- Stay updated on current dance trends, techniques, and teaching methods
Skills:
- Strong knowledge and experience in various dance styles
- Ability to create engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Classroom management skills to ensure a productive learning environment
- Patience and understanding when working with students of different abilities
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students
- Additional skills such as lesson planning, special education experience, cooking, sewing, etc., are highly valued
