Medical Billing Specialist (Contract with Potential)
Location: Lake Mary, FL (100% Onsite)
Pay: $25/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM EST
Start Date: ASAP (pending screenings)
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with strong experience in front-end claim rejections and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit and manage medical claims (electronic and paper)
- Identify, correct, and resubmit front-end and back-end claim rejections
- Perform insurance verification and communicate patient financial responsibility
- Follow up on denied or unpaid claims to ensure timely reimbursement
- Maintain accurate and complete patient and billing records
- Ensure all required documentation is on file prior to claim submission
- Post payments and reconcile accounts accurately
- Generate invoices and assist with collections efforts
- Communicate with patients, payers, and referral sources to resolve billing issues
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and PHI regulations
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of medical billing experience
- Experience working with front-end claim rejections
- Prior DME billing experience (highly preferred)
- Knowledge of insurance verification and claims processing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and follow-up abilities

- This position is 100% onsite in Lake Mary, FL
- No remote, hybrid, or part-time candidates will be considered
