Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and food processors safely and efficiently
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances to adhere to food safety standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and timely service
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and portion control
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Experience with food preparation, cooking methods, and operating various kitchen equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Demonstrated understanding of recipe adherence, meal preparation, and food handling protocols
