Recruiter / Staffing Specialist Job Summary:
- The main goal of the Staffing Recruiter is to put people into jobs, meet client needs, and network within the community in a sales capacity.
- As a Staffing Recruiter, you will help connect job seekers with available jobs, supervise small teams of employees, qualify applications and schedule interview appointments.
- The position involves inside sales to generate job opportunities for job seekers, visiting with clients/prospects to develop business, recruiting/screening/interviewing prospective job seekers, matching candidates’ skills & experience with the jobs that are available.
- Recruiting and Sourcing candidates by posting job ads online and on social media sites.
- The Recruiter is also responsible for retaining qualified associates and for inside sales, including responsibility for increasing sales and hours by making telephone sales calls for a portion of each day.
- Should possess strong interpersonal, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Develops and maintains recruiting sources to ensure consistent applicant flow.
- Conducts job interviews, administers and scores tests, evaluates applicant skills, abilities, and availability. Verifies professional/personal references and employment history through written and verbal communication with all available reference sources.
- Monitors and records associate performance and provides necessary feedback.
- Provides associate counseling and appropriate disciplinary action to correct performance problems. Terminates unsatisfactory associates.
- Meets with Branch Manager daily to review progress on accounts and other pertinent client information.
Recruiter / Staffing Specialist Skills & Experience:
- Previous recruiting experience within staffing industry a plus but not required
- Spanish language preferred
- Coachable and Competitive

- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
