Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based care across diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve mental health outcomes through innovative therapies and medication management, all within a supportive environment that values professional growth and patient well-being.
Duties
- Provides direct psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment of patients on a daily basis
- Assures the clinicians in assigned services receive appropriate clinical supervision
- Participates in administrative duties as assigned, which could include being a member of/or chairing the quality assurance and/or utilization review committees.
- Provides ongoing clinical services, individual psychotherapy and/or family therapy to cases which have been assigned
- Provides urgent or emergency medical and/or psychiatric services as needed.
- Documentation of program notes, consents, medication logs in accordance with agency, state, DBH, and county regulations
- Prescribing medication and/or supervising the prescription and dispensing of medication
- Assisting in the formulation of treatment plans and participating in disposition conferences and staff meetings
- Maintaining working relationships with associates, clients, and patients
- Evaluating patients for emergency commitments as necessary
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as they relate to the overall enhancement of program service delivery.
Qualifications
- DEA, MD or DO degree
- Board Eligible or Board Certified
- Medical License
- 5 years of clinical experience in human services
- 4 years of resident/training
- Liability Insurance according to state regulations
- Able to handle multiple priorities in a high-volume environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent people skills and able to work independently
- Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet expectations
