Start Date: Early August 2026
The Schedule:
Full-time, year-round role.7 days on/7 days off – changeover with other nanny is currently Monday at 9:00am but can be changed if needed.Private room + bathroom provided.
The Family:
This is a warm, intentional two-parent household based primarily in Gramercy Park, with a second home in Miami. One or both parents often work from home and value clear communication, mutual respect, and a calm, organized household. The family follows a Montessori-inspired approach and works with a full household team, allowing each nanny to stay focused on the children’s development and daily experience. Another infant is expected later this year and will be cared for separately by a Newborn Care Specialist.
The Children:
Two boys, ages 1.5 and 3.5. Both attend Montessori school and thrive with structure, predictability, and thoughtful engagement. Both are curious, active, and benefit from calm guidance, open-ended play, and opportunities to build real independence.
The Role:
This role is best suited to a nanny who functions as a development partner rather than a traditional caregiver. Days are structured and intentional, with 2–3 developmentally appropriate activities daily, meaningful outdoor time, and language-rich engagement. Responsibilities include guiding behavior with clear, calm boundaries; building and managing weekly schedules (classes, playdates, outings); light cooking for the children (breakfast, lunch, snacks); maintaining organized play spaces and thoughtful toy rotation; and providing brief developmental updates twice monthly. Driving is required, particularly in Miami. Swimming comfort is a plus.
The Travel:
Travel is a core part of the role. The family is away from NYC approximately 3–4 months per year, primarily in Miami and occasionally in Europe. Trips range from short stays to multi-week travel.
You:
You are highly organized, proactive, and naturally structured without being rigid. You bring strong judgment, a deep understanding of early childhood development, and experience with toddlers and preschoolers. You are calm, warm, detail-oriented, comfortable traveling, and able to operate independently while staying aligned with an established household system. Montessori familiarity or other pedagogy is a strong plus.
