We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality nursing care in a long-term care setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working primarily day shifts and should be flexible to work occasional extended shifts when overtime opportunities are available.
Job Details

- Shift: Days – 6:00 AM–2:30 PM
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Primarily 5x8-hour shifts
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Active LPN/LVN license appropriate for practice in Minnesota
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a consistent patient assignment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with nurses, providers, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Flexibility to accommodate additional shifts when needed
- Commitment to resident safety, dignity, and quality of care
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care environment.
- Perform nursing assessments and monitor residents for changes in health status.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and treatment responses.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence and dignity.
- Provide wound care, dressing changes, and other skilled nursing interventions within LPN scope of practice.
- Recognize and promptly report changes in resident condition to the appropriate healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, registered nurses, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Follow infection prevention, medication safety, and resident safety protocols.
- Participate in care planning and provide patient and family education.
- Respond appropriately to urgent and changing resident needs.
- Support a compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care environment.
- Maintain flexibility with scheduling and accept additional shifts when available and appropriate.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
