Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle guest inquiries via phone with professional phone etiquette and clear communication
- Maintain organized guest records and reservation logs to ensure smooth operations
- Support guest services by providing accurate information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
- Assist in managing restaurant table flow and coordinate with the kitchen staff for timely service
- Uphold food safety standards and ensure cleanliness in all guest-facing areas
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing, and POS transactions
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests simultaneously
- Knowledge of phone communication best practices and phone etiquette
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Understanding of food safety protocols and hospitality standards
