Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling their vehicles efficiently and safely
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments
- Upsell products such as snacks, beverages, and car accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain clean and organized fuel pumps, store shelves, and checkout areas through stocking and merchandising
- Conduct product demos when applicable to promote new items or special offers
- Enforce phone etiquette standards when answering customer inquiries via phone or in person
- Manage inventory levels, monitor stock supplies, and notify management of low inventory or product needs
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and store policies at all times
Requirements
- Previous cashiering experience or familiarity with POS systems is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently in both English and bilingual settings if applicable
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for team coordination roles
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
- Ability to multitask effectively in a busy retail environment such as grocery stores or convenience stores
- Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, stocking, and retail sales practices is advantageous
- Good phone etiquette and clear communication skills for customer interactions both in person and over the phone
