Moran, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources SUBJECT: Coordinator - Adult Learning Center It is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel in the Brockton Public Schools. The School Department is advertising the position of Coordinator of the Adult Learning Center.
Qualifications: 1.Masters Degree and appropriate MA DESE teaching and administrative licensure2.Five or more years successful teaching/administrative experience, adult education preferred3.Familiarity with adult basic education programs, College and Career Readiness Standards for Adults (CCRS), and MA DESE grant policies and procedures4.Experience in designing standards-based curriculum5.Experience in developing and managing grant and budgets6.Demonstrated skill in organization, leadership, communication, problem solving, collaboration, and team building Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Provide educational leadership for the Brockton Adult Learning Center day and evening programs2.Collaborate with district administrators, community service agencies, local colleges and businesses on issues related to the Adult Learning Center3.Supervise and evaluate program and staff4.Maintain and submit all Adult Basic Education grant-required data and reports5.Be responsible for the building and program management and budget(s)6.Research grant and other funding sources and craft proposals in collaboration with the BPS grant office7.Flexible 8-hour workday8.Complete all other related duties and responsibilities as assignedCompensation: According to the BEA contract (1.30 ratio 11 month work year) Reports to: Director of Community Schools and After School Programs
