Position Summary
The Dishwasher / Sanitation Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and food-safe production environment. This position supports the salmon production team by cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, utensils, carts, racks, screens, containers, floors, walls, and production areas according to company sanitation procedures and food-safety requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize production utensils and tools.
- Clean and sanitize carts, racks, trays, screens, tubs, containers, and other production materials.
- Clean and sanitize salmon processing and production equipment after use.
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment when required for proper cleaning.
- Wash and sanitize floors, drains, walls, doors, and work surfaces.
- Maintain the dishwashing and sanitation area clean and organized at all times.
- Remove food residue, grease, fish particles, and other debris from equipment and production areas.
- Use approved cleaning and sanitizing chemicals according to company instructions.
- Follow correct chemical concentrations, contact times, and safety procedures.
- Prevent cross-contamination between raw materials, finished products, equipment, and production areas.
- Properly store clean and sanitized utensils and equipment after washing.
- Empty trash and waste containers and maintain waste areas in sanitary condition.
- Perform end-of-production cleaning and sanitation.
- Complete sanitation tasks and cleaning records when required.
- Report damaged equipment, sanitation problems, chemical issues, or food-safety concerns immediately to the supervisor.
- Assist the production and sanitation teams with additional cleaning duties as needed.

Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive cleaning activities.
- Lift and move approximately 50 lbs when required.
- Work in a cold and wet seafood-production environment.
- Work safely around water, cleaning chemicals, production equipment, and slippery surfaces.
- Wear required PPE, including gloves, apron, non-slip footwear, and other protective equipment as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production, seafood processing, dishwashing, or sanitation is preferred but not required.
- Ability to follow written and verbal cleaning instructions.
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain high sanitation standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a production team.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, food safety, and detail.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
