Helping Families
Gordon Law Group, PLC is a boutique business and estate planning firm with offices in Charleston and Greenville, South Carolina, and Nashville, Tennessee. We help individuals, families, business owners, and professionals protect their families, preserve their assets, and plan confidently for the future.
We are opening an office in Florida and are looking for an Estate Planning and Probate Attorney who wants to do meaningful client work, build trusted professional relationships, and be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking legal team.
The Opportunity
This is not a back-office drafting-only role. We are looking for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, explaining complex planning concepts in a practical way, and helping families make thoughtful decisions about their legacy.
The ideal candidate is personable, organized, confident in client meetings, and interested in helping grow our Florida estate planning practice. This is a hybrid role as clients are largely serviced remotely.

- Meet with clients by video conference to advise them on probate, estate planning and asset protection matters
- Draft and review wills, trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives, and related planning documents
- Counsel clients on gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning strategies
- Handle probate, trust administration, estate administration, and related fiduciary matters from intake through resolution.
- Prepare, review, and file probate petitions, pleadings, inventories, accountings, notices, orders, settlement documents, and related court filings.
- Work with attorneys and support staff across multiple offices to deliver a high-quality client experience
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other allied professionals to develop and implement planning strategies
- Contribute to the continued growth and reputation of the Firm's probate and estate planning practice
Requirements
- Licensed to practice law in Florida
- At least 3 years of probate and estate planning experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A practical, client-centered approach to counseling families and business owners
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team
- Interest in professional relationship-building and referral development
This role is best suited for someone who enjoys meaningful client interaction, team collaboration, and active participation in the growth of the practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Admission to additional state bars (South Carolina licensure preferred)
- Experience with estate planning drafting software
- Familiarity with Medicaid planning
- VA accreditation
- LL.M. in Taxation or other advanced certifications
Benefits
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
