Position Summary
We're looking for a dependable, energetic team member who enjoys baking, working with customers, and being part of a growing small business. This position combines bakery production, retail sales, farmers market operations, and general business support.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, braid, proof, bake, package, and label artisan breads.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bakery.
- Assist customers with product recommendations and provide exceptional service.
- Operate the point-of-sale system and process transactions accurately.
- Stock and merchandise breads, olive oils, balsamic vinegars, jams, and specialty retail products.
- Set up and break down farmers markets, winery events, and pop-up events.
- Load, unload, transport, and organize inventory and display equipment.
- Maintain attractive product displays and restock throughout the day.
- Assist with inventory management, packaging, wholesale orders, and daily operations.
- Represent Bready or Knot Challah professionally and enthusiastically at all times.
Qualifications
- Baking, retail, or food service experience preferred.
- Friendly, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Weekend and early morning availability required.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
