Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication activities using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure resident health and promptly report any concerns to medical staff
- Provide specialized care for residents with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, implementing memory care strategies and behavior management techniques to promote safety and comfort
- Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs are met while encouraging independence when possible
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties in resident rooms and common areas in compliance with health standards
- Document resident progress, incidents, and care activities thoroughly to ensure continuity of care and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Prior experience in long-term care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and ability to accurately record medication activities
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively with residents who have disabilities or require assistance with ADLs in a respectful and compassionate manner
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes
- Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude focused on enhancing residents’ quality of life

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
