Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly washed and sanitized. Your efforts will support the overall efficiency of our food service operation, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment using appropriate cleaning procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing stations, sinks, and surrounding areas to meet sanitation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and prep work
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dishwashing area
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and other cleaning tools safely and efficiently
- Handle manual tasks such as lifting heavy pots or boxes of supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic techniques
Skills
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a restaurant setting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning or supply handling
- Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards
- Basic knife skills for food prep assistance when required
- Experience with food handling, cleaning, and bussing in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with operating commercial dishwashing equipment and kitchen tools
- Attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness and adhering to hygiene protocols
