Position Purpose:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports warehouse and office operations by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems, grounds, and general facility equipment. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, this role ensures facilities remain safe, functional, and compliant with company and OSHA standards.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: One–three years of facilities or general maintenance experience preferred
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or trade certification a plus
Essential Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including lighting, plumbing, HVAC components, doors, docks, and flooring
- Complete general repairs such as patching walls, replacing fixtures, minor electrical work, and equipment adjustments
- Assist with warehouse and facility projects as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and prioritize work orders
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas
- Support vendor coordination for specialized repairs or inspections
- Follow all OSHA guidelines and company safety policies
- Report safety hazards, equipment concerns, and facility issues
- Assist with snow removal, groundskeeping, and exterior maintenance as needed
- Maintain maintenance logs and documentation
- Travel between warehouses when required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications / Skills:
- Basic knowledge of building maintenance systems (electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry)
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems or work-order tracking preferred
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, or man lifts is a plus (or willingness to be trained)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation between facilities

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and climbing
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to lift various shapes, sizes, and weights of materials
- Ability to tolerate hot or cold warehouse environments
- Reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, kneel, and climb stairs
