Duties
- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, hair extensions, and eyelash extensions with precision and creativity
- Apply makeup and nail care treatments to enhance client appearances
- Utilize salon software such as MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process payments efficiently
- Provide exceptional customer service by listening to client needs, offering professional advice, and ensuring a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across all workstations and tools in accordance with industry regulations
- Assist with retail sales by recommending products like hair threading tools, styling products, and skincare items; upsell effectively to meet client needs
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a collaborative team environment through effective communication and training
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license with experience in hair styling and hair extensions
- Knowledge of color theory for customized coloring techniques
- Proficiency in salon software such as MINDBODY or similar platforms for appointment management
- Skilled in sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Strong communication skills to connect with clients and team members alike
- Experience with retail sales, upselling techniques, and retail math to meet sales goals
- Ability to perform specialized services including straight razor shaves, hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care
- Store management experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for mentoring others is highly valued
