About the Role
As General Manager, you will create and maintain a customer-driven hotel environment while inspiring associates to perform at their best. You will oversee daily hotel operations, ensure compliance with company and franchise standards, maximize profitability, and lead a team dedicated to delivering outstanding guest service.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leadership, problem-solving, team development, and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day hotel operations
- Lead, train, motivate, and develop hotel staff
- Manage budgets, forecasts, labor, and cost controls
- Monitor occupancy, revenue, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with franchise and company standards
- Recruit, interview, hire, and coach employees
- Maintain accurate operational and financial records
- Handle guest and employee concerns professionally and effectively
- Build relationships within the community and promote the hotel locally
- Conduct daily property inspections to maintain quality standards
- Communicate clearly with staff, guests, ownership, and corporate leadership
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive, customer-focused attitude
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn hotel management systems
- Flexibility to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally for training and conferences
