The candidate for Sous Chef must have a passion for food and appreciates scratch method cuisine. This is a unique job experience that marries artistry, fine quality products and time honored traditions. You will be immersed in fine food and culture from all regions of Italy. We have built the foundation for extensive expansion and we are searching for an Sous Chef to become part of our growth model.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- ·Provides leadership to Line Cooks and other staff members to run an effective kitchen footprint for the restaurant
- Possesses a strong visual sense
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Exceptional Organizational Skills
- Take ownership approach to problem solving
- The ability to stand for long periods of time and move and lift objects of at least 40 lbs
- Manage inventory to achieve targeted gross profit margin
- Available for flexible scheduling

Minimal Requirements |
- Culinary degree, certification or equivalent preferred
- High volume, complex foodservice operations experience - highly desirable
- 2-4 years of culinary experience in a restaurant landscape preferred
- ServSafe Certification highly desirable
