Facility Information:
Embassy of East Mountain is a 120-bed facility conveniently located in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania, near Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Commonwealth General Hospital and Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.
**Responsibilities:**
- Carry out the developed individualized treatment plans for patients set forth by the OTR
- Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises and modalities.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively in patient interactions.
- Implement interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and independence.
- Participate in case management and discharge planning processes.
**Qualifications:**
- State licensure as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Experience working with pediatric and adult populations in hospital or clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology.
- Familiarity with ICU and acute care environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate patient service.
- Proficiency in case management and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
