Our client is looking for a caring, nurturing, and energetic full-time Lead Toddler Teacher to join their premier preschool in West Islip, NY. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with diapering and toilet training.
- This is a Direct Hire position with the school
- Full-Time; Monday-Friday; year-round employment
Open Positions
- Lead Toddler Teacher: working with children 18 months to 3 years old and the shift can be 8:00am to 4:00pm or 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Salary
- Lead Teachers: $18.00-$22.00/hour pending education, credentials, and professional Early Childhood Education experience

Responsibilities
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Responsible for the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum as well as the maintenance of educational portfolios
- Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom
- Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care
- Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in early childhood education
Qualifications
- REQUIRED Education: Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification or a completed degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- REQUIRED Experience: 1 year of experience in a licensed Early Childhood Education facility or in a similar environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations - for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
- Must meet background check eligibility
- Must be at least 18-years-old
