Noda Media is looking for a creative and reliable Photo Editor & Social Media Assistant to help with photo editing, social media management, content creation, and assisting during photo/video shoots.
This role is ideal for someone who has experience or strong interest in the photography, content creation, or social media world. You should be comfortable working independently from home, but also available to attend in-person shoots, meetings, and content capture days when needed.
This is a hybrid position. Some work will be done remotely, such as photo culling, editing, organizing files, captions, posting, and admin work. Other work will require showing up in person to help capture behind-the-scenes content, assist during shoots, and support social media content creation.
Responsibilities
The person hired may help with:
- Culling and organizing photos from shoots
- Basic photo editing and retouching
- Preparing galleries for clients
- Managing and posting to social media accounts
- Creating captions, reels ideas, and content calendars
- Capturing behind-the-scenes content during shoots
- Assisting at photoshoots and in-person content days
- Helping organize client content, folders, and deliverables
- Tracking engagement, follower growth, and social media performance
- Communicating professionally with team members and clients when needed
Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Experience or strong interest in photography, photo editing, social media, or content creation
- Access to a reliable laptop
- Access to reliable internet
- Reliable transportation / access to a car
- Ability to attend in-person shoots and meetings in the Charlotte area
- Strong communication skills
- Good organization and attention to detail
- Ability to complete projects on time
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company
Experience
- Proven experience in photo editing, graphic design, or related fields with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in Photoshop, Lightroom, and AI tools.
- Familiarity with photography techniques including lighting, composition, and post-production workflows.
- Experience filming or videography using professional equipment is a plus; knowledge of videography best practices is highly desirable but not required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
- Content management systems (CMS) and social media platforms’ content requirements.
- Excellent communication skills combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new tools and techniques in digital content creation.
