About Changing Technologies, Inc.
Changing Technologies, Inc. (CTI) is an IT consulting and staffing firm headquartered in Washington, DC. Since 1997, we have delivered network, cybersecurity, and physical security consulting solutions for federal, state, and local government clients across the United States. We are SAM-registered (UEI ZF2LM9GKQAA7, CAGE 4HB71) and hold multiple state and regional small-business certifications.
Position Summary
We are hiring a Physical Security and IP Video Specialist with active Milestone certifications to join our consulting bench in support of an on-call IT network and security consulting engagement for a public-sector destination marketing organization in Little Rock, Arkansas. The selected consultant will provide expert advisory and design services across multiple high-traffic public venues including a convention center, a performance hall, river-market event facilities, and parking facilities.
This is a senior, hands-on advisory role. You will be the certified expert for IP video, access control, and weapons detection — working alongside the client's internal IT team to design, integrate, and optimize physical security systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert consulting on IP video systems using Milestone XProtect — including camera coverage design, storage retention policy, server architecture, and lawful-access workflows.
- Advise on access control systems, with specific expertise in DNA Fusion access control software (panels, readers, schedules, credential management, third-party integrations).
- Consult on weapons detection systems and recommend integration points with the access control and IP video infrastructure.
- Conduct physical security site assessments across multi-venue environments and produce findings, recommendations, and remediation roadmaps.
- Collaborate with the client's internal IT team and third-party vendors on troubleshooting and project delivery.
- Support new product onboarding, module activation, and integration of access control, video, and detection systems.
- Document configurations, system inventories, integration architectures, and engagement deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Active certification in at least one of: Milestone MCIT, MCSE, or MCSA. (Certificate copy required at offer stage.)
- Minimum 6 years of experience deploying and supporting IP video / Video Management Systems (VMS).
- Hands-on experience with DNA Fusion access control software (preferred) or comparable enterprise access control platforms.
- Experience with weapons detection systems and their integration into broader physical security stacks.
- Experience designing physical security systems for multi-site public-facing venues.
- US work authorization without sponsorship requirements.
- Ability to travel to Little Rock, AR as the engagement requires.
Preferred Qualifications
- DNA Fusion certified integrator status.
- Additional VMS or access control vendor certifications (Genetec, Avigilon, Lenel, Software House).
- Experience supporting convention centers, stadiums, arenas, museums, or comparable public-venue facilities.
- Familiarity with low-voltage cabling and supporting electrical coordination.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Prior consulting or advisory experience in a senior, client-facing capacity.
What We Offer
- Long-term contract engagement potential (initial 2-year client term with renewal options).
- Competitive consulting rates commensurate with experience and certification level.
- Senior-led delivery team with a named Project Manager as your day-to-day point of contact.
- Opportunity to work across multiple public-sector venues in a long-term advisory capacity.
