About the Position
Lucent Surgical is seeking dependable, confident, and personable individuals to join our team as Patient Technical Support Representatives.
Our representatives support a unique acute pain service for orthopedic surgery patients at local hospitals. In this role, you will work directly with patients, families, nurses, anesthesiologists, and orthopedic surgeons to provide support with a small infusion device used for post-operative pain management.
Your time will be divided between local hospital accounts and our office, providing a work environment that is active and varied. This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys working independently, interacting with people, and having a job where every day isn't exactly the same.
Training is provided — prior medical or technical experience is not required.
Please note: This is NOT an IT position.
What You'll Do
Working alongside PACU nurses, anesthesiologists, and orthopedic surgeons, you will be responsible for:
- Providing on-site support for the administration of a small infusion device used for post-operative pain management
- Demonstrating the device's functions, use, and care to patients and their families
- Answering basic questions and providing reassurance and support to patients
- Communicating professionally with hospital staff and healthcare providers
- Completing required paperwork and maintaining accurate records
- Following company procedures and patient-care protocols
- Traveling between assigned local hospital accounts as needed
- Working independently while maintaining communication with the Lucent Surgical team

- Reliable transportation and ability to travel between local accounts
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and company procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Hospitality, healthcare, customer service, or similar experience is a plus
No prior medical experience is required. We will provide training.
