Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with clients and their families with empathy, ensuring they feel supported and understood throughout the process.
- Ensuring caskets in visitation areas, adjust light fixtures and arrangement of floral tributes are placed in accordance.
- Provide assistance to families before, during, and after funeral services- (ex. Opening and closing remarks, guiding families to final place of rest, playing music or memorial videos, etc.)
- Guide casket bearers in placement and removal of casket to and from funeral coach, chapel or other place of service and interment location.
- Communicate with clergy/celebrant when arriving to conduct funeral services.
- May help lead funeral procession from place of service to interment site.
- Supervise and assist with visitation by ushering and directing families and visitors of deceased to and from visitation area and where services are conducted.
- Supervise and assist the transportation of family members assuring timely departure and arrival as agreed with client family.
- Participate in the general upkeep of the building, grounds, and cars.
- Light housekeeping to keep the facilities and grounds in perfect order. This includes keeping work areas tidy, picking up litter on the grounds and general straightening up.
- Responsibly handling confidential information with the utmost care and integrity. Ensuring that sensitive data is protected and shared only with authorized individuals, in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
