The Opportunity
We are seeking a legal assistant and/or paralegal with strong motivation, a genuine eagerness to learn, and sharp attention to detail to join our growing family law practice in Pensacola. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, client-centered environment and wants to build a meaningful career supporting clients through pivotal legal transitions. This is a small firm with a solo attorney.
The legal assistant and/or paralegal will work closely with the attorney and other staff to manage cases, review discovery, analyze financial and case-related documents, communicate with clients, and assist with all aspects of case preparation from initiation through trial. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment. Key Responsibilities · Case Management· Maintain and organize case files from intake through conclusion· Monitor case deadlines and court scheduling requirements· Assist attorney with trial, hearing, mediation, and deposition preparation· Draft and respond to discovery requests· Draft correspondence, pleadings, motions, notices, and other legal documents for attorney review· Maintain attorney calendars and case schedules· Maintain confidentiality of client information at all times
Qualifications
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Strong attention to detail· Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities· Ability to review and analyze complex records and documents· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills· Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines· Professional judgment and discretion
· Ability to compute basic math calculations (i.e. income)
