Senior Staff Accountant to join our growing team and play a key role in providing high-quality tax and accounting services to a diverse client base.
What You'll Do
As a Senior Staff Accountant , you'll take ownership of a variety of tax and accounting responsibilities while collaborating with a supportive team of professionals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Prepare and review journal entries, maintain general ledgers, and produce accurate financial statements.
- Prepare payroll reports, Sales tax reports.
- Communicate professionally with clients by phone and email, providing timely guidance on tax and accounting matters.
- Research tax issues and assist with planning opportunities when appropriate.
- Collaborate with team members to solve client issues and improve internal processes.
- Support management with special projects and contribute to the continued growth of the firm.
- Help maintain our high standards of accuracy, professionalism, and outstanding client service.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience.
- Experience preparing business and individual tax returns.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Lacerte Tax Software is a plus, but not required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and grow.
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday
- Overtime will be required during tax season
