Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fab Shop Supervisor to lead our fabrication shop team. In this role, you will oversee daily operations, ensure safety compliance, and maintain high-quality standards in wastewater fabrication projects. Duties
- Supervise daily shop activities, including fabrication, assembly, and welding operations, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize work orders and allocate resources effectively.
- Inspect materials and finished products for quality, accuracy, and compliance with blueprints and schematics.
- Provide mentorship and training to shop personnel on welding, use of power tools, and other fabrication processes.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication tasks accurately.
- Maintain shop documentation including logs, reports, inspection records, and inventory management for tools and materials.
Experience
- Proven experience in a fabrication shop environment with a strong background in fabrication and mechanical assembly.
- Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, shop math, and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Familiarity with construction site practices and construction experience preferred.
- Proficiency in operating shop equipment such as pipe threading tools, forklifts, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively while maintaining safety and productivity standards.
- Knowledge of wastewater lift stations and pump experience needed. Inventory management a huge plus.
