Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Marine Service Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of boats and engines. We are primarily an outboard company selling Pontoons and Fishing Boats. Your expertise will ensure that all marine systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers the right Technician a position with a Family-owned dealership. A strong background in mechanical, and electrical repair is needed
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components .
- Perform routine maintenance on Boats, Engines and trailers to ensure optimal performance
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments such as calipers and soldering tools for assembly and repairs
- Conduct rigging operations, sheet metal fabrication, and heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and maintenance logs
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics accurately
- Experience with rigging, sheet metal work.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices applicable to Outboard Engines
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, working at heights or confined spaces as required in marine environments
- Background in military service is a plus due to discipline and technical training received
- Familiarity with sales processes related to marine equipment is advantageous

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
