We are building a modern environmental testing company focused on speed, clarity, and high-quality service. This role is critical to delivering that experience in the field.
This is not a typical technician role - we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, professional with clients, physically capable in field environments, and able to work independently while representing the company at a high level.
Role Overview:
You will be responsible for conducting onsite inspections, collecting samples, operating mobile testing equipment, and preparing clear, professional reports. You will work directly with homeowners, property managers, contractors, and commercial clients across a variety of residential, commercial, and construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite inspections for mold, moisture, and potential asbestos-containing materials
- Collect air and surface samples using proper protocols
- Operate mobile lab equipment and company vehicle/van safely and professionally (training provided)
- Document findings through photos, notes, and structured reporting
- Communicate clearly with clients about process and next steps (not diagnosing or overstepping scope)
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and vehicle readiness
- Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
Physical & Field Requirements:
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders, access attics/crawl spaces, and navigate active job sites as required
- Comfortable working in residential, commercial, and construction environments
- Physically capable of performing site inspections, collecting samples, operating equipment, and spending extended periods standing/walking throughout the workday
- Ability to safely operate a mobile testing van and related field equipment
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
- Professional and comfortable interacting with clients onsite
- Self-starter who can manage their own schedule and workload
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to think critically in the field
- Clean driving record
Preferred (but not required):
- Experience in construction, restoration, environmental services, inspection work, or field operations
- Familiarity with mold, asbestos, or indoor air quality concepts
- OSHA or safety certifications
Compensation:
- Base salary: $60,000
- Potential for performance-based bonuses as the company grows
Why This Role Matters:
This role is the face of the company. Our goal is to deliver faster results, clearer reports, and a better overall experience than traditional testing firms. The right person in this role will have a direct impact on client satisfaction and business growth.
Growth Opportunity:
As the company scales, there will be opportunities to take on leadership responsibilities, train additional technicians, and help build operational systems.
If you’re someone who takes pride in doing things the right way, enjoys field-based work, and wants to be part of building something from the ground up, we’d love to talk.
