Description
- Develop and grow a customer base for JLG construction equipment, including aerial lifts, telehandlers, and related products.
- Find new commercial customers through phone calls, customer visits, jobsite visits, networking, referrals, and other sales activities.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing commercial customers to create repeat equipment sales.
- Guide customers through the purchase of construction equipment, motorcycles, side-by-sides, watercraft, mowers, and other Cyclezone products.
- Listen to customer needs and recommend products that fit their personal or business use.
- Conduct professional product demonstrations, test rides, and equipment walkthroughs.
- Prepare quotes and follow up with customers throughout the sales process.
- Stay current on products, available inventory, promotions, financing options, and warranties.
- Negotiate and close sales while handling customer questions and objections professionally.
- Work with Finance, Parts, Service, and Marketing to provide a smooth customer experience.
- Follow up after the sale to build long-term relationships, secure referrals, and generate repeat business.
- Represent Cyclezone professionally at customer locations, jobsites, trade shows, community events, and other sales opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain strong product knowledge and industry awareness.
- Keep the showroom, sales areas, and equipment displays clean, organized, and presentable.
- Report sales goals, customer activity, prospects, and performance results to the Sales Manager.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Previous sales experience preferred, especially in construction equipment, heavy equipment, powersports, automotive, marine, or agricultural equipment sales.
- Experience developing a customer base or managing commercial accounts is preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Comfortable making sales calls, visiting customers, and actively developing new business.
- Ability to work with both retail customers and commercial equipment accounts.
- Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong self-motivation.
- Available to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass all required pre-employment screening.
- Able to stand for extended periods and lift light equipment or materials as needed.
- Willingness and motivation to learn Cyclezone and JLG products.
- Must be able to successfully complete all post-offer and pre-employment contingencies.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
