Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to ensure a secure environment for yourself and others.
- Conduct custodial tasks including trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and disinfecting high-touch areas to maintain optimal sanitation standards.
- Utilize manual handling techniques for heavy lifting tasks while adhering to safe lifting practices to prevent injury.
- Maintain facilities by reporting maintenance issues promptly to ensure operational efficiency.
- Operate cleaning equipment efficiently, including vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools, to deliver high-quality results.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings demonstrating familiarity with cleaning procedures and equipment.
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures is highly desirable.
- Prior work involving floor care techniques such as buffing, polishing, and maintenance using floor buffers or similar equipment.
- Background in facilities maintenance or general custodial duties that include sanitation, heavy lifting, and safe manual handling practices.
- Customer service skills are beneficial for interacting professionally with building occupants or clients while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning standards and familiarity with commercial cleaning protocols will support your success in this role.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
