Job Title: Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay range: $75k to $100k (Depending on the level of experience)
Job Summary
Join a leading semiconductor equipment company as a Field Service Engineer, where you’ll play a critical role in supporting advanced electro-mechanical systems at customer sites. This is a great opportunity for engineers who enjoy hands-on technical work, troubleshooting, and working directly with customers in a high-tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, maintenance, repair, and start-up of complex semiconductor equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues down to the component level
- Execute corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and system improvements
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve technical challenges
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Develop and implement customer-focused solutions and action plans
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or related Engineering field
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting of semiconductor capital equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and technical manuals
- Comfortable working in cleanroom environments with appropriate safety gear
- Willingness to travel frequently (domestic and international)
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime and on-call support
- Physically able to perform job duties (standing, bending, lifting, etc. for extended periods)
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
