Position Summary
The Sales Lead Generator is responsible for engaging customers inside designated Home Depot retail locations (Lewiston and Moscow, Idaho stores) and generating qualified leads for in-home consultations with members of our Service Department. This role focuses on building rapport with customers, identifying their home improvement needs, and scheduling appointments that lead to sales opportunities.
Success in this position requires a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to confidently approach customers in a retail environment while representing both our company and Home Depot with professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively engage Home Depot customers in a friendly, professional manner.
- Educate customers about our business, products and services while identifying their home improvement needs.
- Generate qualified sales leads by scheduling in-home consultations or appointments.
- Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly lead generation goals.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional kiosk or display area.
- Accurately enter customer information into company systems.
- Build positive relationships with Home Depot associates and management.
- Follow all Home Depot policies, company procedures, and compliance standards.
- Attend required training sessions, meetings, and product updates.
- Represent the company with integrity, enthusiasm, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, lead generation, marketing, or direct sales is preferred but not required.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable initiating conversations with customers throughout the day.
- Self-motivated with a goal-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Basic computer or tablet proficiency for entering customer information.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment.
