Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Process sales transactions accurately while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experiences and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
- Ensure food safety protocols are followed at all times, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with host/hostess duties during busy periods to manage reservations and seating arrangements
- Support the kitchen team with basic food prep or bussing tasks to ensure smooth operations
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Experience
- Previous food service or restaurant experience preferred, especially in fine dining settings or high-volume environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and drink presentation techniques
- Demonstrated ability in customer service roles with excellent communication skills
- Experience with food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities
- Knowledge of hospitality principles with a focus on guest relations and service excellence
