Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Mechanic & State Inspector to join our dynamic team. This vital role combines hands-on mechanical maintenance with the responsibility of conducting official vehicle inspections in accordance with state regulations. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on various mechanical systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with state safety standards and regulations.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive repair equipment to diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently.
- Change automotive tires, perform vehicle maintenance tasks, and restore vehicles to optimal working condition through auto body repair and auto restoration techniques.
- Assist in heavy lifting operations using appropriate equipment to handle large or heavy parts safely.
- Repair mechanical systems such as suspension, steering, and braking systems while adhering to safety protocols.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately, including inspection reports, repair logs, and compliance documentation.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong mechanical knowledge base across various vehicle types and systems.
- Hands-on experience with automotive service procedures including tire changes, electrical system repairs, and auto body work.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, and auto restoration processes.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized automotive repair equipment safely and effectively.
- Prior experience performing vehicle inspections in accordance with state requirements is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment regularly while maintaining proper safety techniques.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to vehicle maintenance and inspection procedures.

Pay: $26.12 - $31.45 per hour
