THE WORK
- Develop and refine assembly processes, incorporating Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency
and reduce cost.
- Write concise, complete process instructions and
production documentation, ensuring alignment with
engineering drawings and models.
- Collaborate with production, design engineering,
procurement, program management, and
manufacturing personnel to address production
challenges and recommend solutions.
- Investigate production problems, evaluate materials, and propose modifications to processes or tooling to
enhance quality and meet manufacturing conditions.
- Design and assist in the development of tooling,
including concepts for welding, brazing, painting, and finishing operations where applicable.
- Operate and program automated equipment, and
utilize cranes, lifts, and hoists to support assembly of large structures, wiring, cabling, coax, fiber optics, and soldering to IPC J Std.
- Lead training initiatives, independently instructing
and mentoring personnel on new processes and
experimental work to drive cost reductions and quality improvements.
- Apply Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and
standard Microsoft Office tools to support process
development and data analysis.
Please Note: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Employee's in this role typically have 2 to 5 years of professional experience.
