Sales associate/customer service/data entry for a Christmas/Gift Store.
Information regarding hours/schedule:
- A few days per month/approximately 1 day per week at the Christmas/Gift Store during the off-season (February - September) with some weeks having 2 or more days, increasing to 5 or 6 full days/week as we approach Fall/Christmas (more days may also become available as we work on starting our online store).
- May work an occasional day at our secondary location inside the Shenandoah Heritage Market (located at 121 Carpenter Ln, Harrisonburg, VA)
- During the Christmas season as many as 40 to 50 hours/week
- A few Saturdays/no Sundays during the non-Christmas season
- MUST be available weekends (Saturdays/Sundays) and around all holidays from October through December
- Must be able to comfortably use a computer/type/quickly enter data
- Must be able to count cash/change
- Must be willing to jump in and help the team with any task that needs completed each day
- Looking for someone who is seeking a position long-term (not temporary/seasonal)
Responsibilities include talking to/assisting customers with choosing and purchasing items, cashiering, pricing, unboxing items, pulling items from back room for customers, entering data into the computer, and anything else needed to help keep the store operational on a day-to-day basis. Computer skills are required as the point-of-sale system is computerized and we will also be working on data entry for our upcoming online store. This is a fun store that customers love, with a huge selection of unique decor and gifts.
